Twycross Zoo

Posted on - 1st September 2010

Just the other week we were looking for a Zoo to visit. We wanted to go to Chester Zoo but with them being so  far away from us we decided to go somewhere closer, we had even thought about visiting Bristol Zoo but the last time we went there they didn’t have very many animals. So we decided to try somewhere different, Twycross Zoo.

Twycross Zoo had a good choice of animals to go and see, Giraffes, Elephants, Gorillas and is packed with things to do for all ages. They have feeding sessions you can go and view, a few places to eat and drink and even a small train ride for the kids.

If I remember correctly because we were students it was only about £11 each entry to the park and had the choice of buying a park map (although you don’t really need one). There was also plenty of car parking available with disabled spaces nearer the main entrance.

Well worth visiting for a day out.
