Is there life in it for you? Your time in virtual worlds
I have always been interested in the presentation of work whether it be a word processed document or an interactive presentation and over the last few years I have discovered that the internet is an ever advancing platform allowing users to present information worldwide.
Until recently I had always known I’d want a website but wasn’t really sure what to put on it and so opted for a series of pages offering help, advice and tools to aid other people in setting up their own useful websites.
Over the last year or so I have come to realise that through the use of an online blog I’m able offer something new to people by sharing my knowledge, experience and opinions not just on academic subjects but through reviews of personal events. This has helped increase my online presence significantly by offering this unique product ‘me’. The platform that I have used is highly integrated with communication tools out there such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube where I can increase awareness of my online activities with others. Through enticing people I’m able to create two way dialogue through a variety of interactive media.
Recognising the importance of this two way communication in post-modern society I have helped to develop interactive websites for local community councils and businesses.
