Facebook Access – 26th January 2010
On the morning of the 26th January, approx 7.38am someone unlawfully accessed my facebook account and decided to post on other people’s walls, status comments and even to use my private messages to send out a message.
The thing that I noticed was that the person must have guessed my password to login into my account, and being a relatively long password containing digits as well it wouldn’t normally be one that easily to crack.
Usually when someone accesses your account it’s because you’ve left your laptop on and your brother, sister or housemate has seen this and so thinks it’s funny to post silly things. They usually want you to know it’s them, but in this case, the person doesn’t want to own up to it.
Now, based on the evidence that I’m gaining, I know who it was. I won’t be naming names but I know it’s YOU, in no doubt that you’re reading this right now. People forget that when you use the internet you broadcast an IP Address, each computer has one when they logon to the internet. For Instance if you login into your facebook account, it’s logged that someone using that computer has logged into your account. That IP address telling you the computer that did, with the internet service provider that you use for the internet being able to tell you the person’s contact and location details.
I won’t retaliate (although I could quite easily), instead just think about how immature your actions were and also knowing that the people around you know how silly you are.
