St Fagans isn’t Free! – Review

I have always enjoyed going to St Fagans ever since being a child growing up in Cardiff.

The Museum is of Welsh Life which includes a working bakery, clay pottery making as well as an array of old and traditional buildings.

I especially like the houses in a row which update with modern equipment as you go through.

I think there was a house that looks just like my student accommodation I’m moving into! Haha

Anyways down to business,

A few years ago the Government decided to make all Museums free but after visiting St Fagans Yesterday I was quite disappointed to find that now you have to pay £3 pay and display car park!

It’s free to get in but I didn’t realise I had to pay for the car park, and there was me struggling to find change for the machine!

It would be interesting to know where all the car park money’s going too…

Clay Pottery Making – £3.95 per person

Welsh Loaf of Bread – £1.90

Aside from the car parking, the other charges you make reference too are due to these businesses (pottery and bakehouse) being independently run within the museum.
