Speedy Hire PLC – A New Business Structure
I here that Speedy PLC are looking to bring together their separate divisions under one roof. I know I talked before about the company wanting to have a structure like Tesco with the shops offering all of their products from the power, tool and lifting branches but I think there’s now more to what meets the eye.
I do believe they are looking at treating the company as one instead of different divisions and are implementing this over the next few months.
Cost Cutting
Could this be a further sign of cost cutting by Speedy? – they are likely to get rid of more staff to make the company structure more accessible and simpler to understand. Removing the different horizontal branches to make a more slender structure whilst keep its height.
Efficiency
This can only mean in the long run that the business will be more efficient and with costs being cut should see a higher return on capital investment and returns on sales revenues.
