Will Swine Flu Help with Unemployment?
On one of the news channels the other evening, I think it was the BBC, said that at the height of the Swine Flu outbreak could see 1 in 8 people off work with it.
It also goes on to say about the previous winter weather we had at the start of the year with the country coming to a standstill because of snow and how Swine Flu could see records numbers Ill and off work with the country coming to an almost standstill? – Because of so many people being off work.
Now, with the credit crunch and all there’s an increasing number of the UK workforce becoming unemployed. The thought that I had was that if people off of work with Swine Flu (if it happens) then there will be a shortage of jobs? Where employers need part-time and temporary staff to cover those off sick… see what I’m getting at?
