Cefn Mably Farm Park, Cardiff – Review
Cefn Mably Farm Park, Cardiff – Review
Located a few miles on the outskirts of Cardiff along Began Road you’ll come across Cefn Mably Farm Park.
I have been here many years ago with the Cub Scouts when I was a boy when it used to be just a field with animals in gated off areas. Well I went here recently for a cousins birthday party on the weekend and I must say it has changed for the better!
They have a new indoor area with a play area for children, (heated in the winter), two party rooms for groups and Birthdays and even serve hot food and cold drinks.
An indoor sheltered area with animals such as pigs, coats, birds etc (for the times it does rain in Wales).
You can even have donkey rides for an additional £2 per child, although this seems ok you have already paid to enter and you shouldn’t really have to pay this extra charge as they have the staff there anyways. (money making to try and cover the costs of the new indoor area?).
You can also purchase small bags of animal feed for 50p a bag, really nice idea allowing children and people of all ages to interact with the animals.
The food which is served inside is lovely (chips are really good!) but the prices are a bit on the expensive side, perhaps trying to get their costs back on their extension?
- If visiting I recommend bringing your own food (picnic) and use one of the many picnic tables they have available in many areas of the park.
There’s also ample parking for those busy days!
