Aberystwyth T-Shirt Designs
My name is Rhys Gregory (if you haven’t noticed) and I am currently studying Business & Management at Aberystwyth University.
The university student shop sells t-shirts and hoodies with the University name and logo on etc and I originally wanted to design a t-shirt that they could sell in the student shop, I even said I’d give them on sale or return where I would only get paid if the tops sold.. but sadly they said their hands were tied as I must be an approved supplier of the students union..?
grh, since that set back I have decided to get some t-shirts designed for tourists visiting Aberystwyth. I now have the designs but I don’t have the shops. Therefore I am currently looking to get them printed and in stores soon.
I can’t decide on the printing method to use, I would like screen printed but this is expensive and I must order in bulk to be cost effective. The problem is that I don’t want to tie up £500 – £1000 in 100s of t-shirts of one design…
The margins aren’t there. I’d be looking at it costing me £15 a top. what shop would even buy them off me for that and for them to put their own markup on them. I will investigate other printing methods which don’t affect the quality of the of the print…
